Challenge: Orchard Pond, a welcoming bed & breakfast just outside Cambridge, had been running on an ageing WordPress site that no longer did justice to the quality of the accommodation or the personal hospitality on offer. The site was slow, difficult to maintain, and lacked the polish expected by the kind of guest Orchard Pond attracts — visitors to Cambridge, IWM Duxford, and Audley End looking for a refined countryside retreat.

Solution: We rebuilt the website from the ground up using Astro — a modern framework that produces lightning-fast, statically generated pages with excellent SEO and Core Web Vitals scores. The new site puts the comfort, welcome, and breakfast at the heart of the experience, with a clean, elegant design that reflects the calm, rural character of the property. Clear information about the three en-suite rooms, the locally sourced breakfast, and the surrounding attractions helps guests make confident booking decisions.
